Patches for Baseball Mogul are installed automatically if you have an active internet connection. If there is an update, you will be informed when you play the game.

Alternatively, you can check for a new patch at any time from within Baseball Mogul. From the game's Help menu, select "Check for New Version...".

Periodically we issue unofficial patches to Baseball Mogul. These patches are for testing and development purposes as we fix bugs and occasionally add new features. Until we are satisfied that the patches are ready for release we post them as unofficial patches. We allow interested users and testers to download them, but we cannot attest to their stability or performance. Baseball Mogul 2006 Patch

If you have problems using the Auto-Update feature in Baseball Mogul 2006, you can also download the file manually from this link:

Put the file in your Baseball Mogul folder and double-click it to install the update.

Baseball Mogul 2005 CD-ROM Patches

Update your Baseball Mogul 2005 CD-ROM with the Latest Patch.

You can check for a new patch at any time from within Baseball Mogul 2005. From the game's Help menu, select "Check for New Version...".

July 1, 2004 -- Baseball Mogul 2005 Version 7.0.7 is released as a patch. Notable changes since 7.0.0:

  • Fixed negative 'Games Back' display on Calendar, Finances, Leaders
  • Real 2004 MLB Schedule added
  • Bad rookie pitchers eliminated (Control/Movement 100+, but Power <50)
  • Fixed teams going into debt quickly (and numbers in Budget->Expenses not adding up correctly)
  • 2004Rosters.csv written from .exe on-the-fly
  • Fixed missing rookies (e.g. Miguel Cabrera and Jody Gerut).
  • Ability to export file as ".dat" format
  • Fixed players disappearing at end of season
  • Hang fixed in Import Stats Dialog
  • Fixed "Don't Load Stats" errors
  • Corrected the Lahman/player photo loading order (by Lahman ID THEN by 'generic photo' order)
  • Transactions log increased to handle 100+ years
  • Player ages corrected (were off by one year); Birthdays added to transactions
  • League Revenue and Salary Demand drop-downs added to League Editor
  • All Star Game date fixed; 2004 days/dates (e.g. Monday) line up
  • Contracts added to 2004rosters.csv
  • All Star appearances added to Transactions
  • Fixed up-down arrows in Tickets & Concessions
  • Initials added to Box Scores; Team names added to Home Run Derby output
  • 'Overall' removed for HOF players; More name space in box scores; 'Upside' added to Rosters etc.
  • All-Star roster bug fixed (pitchers were listed on bench)
  • Peak/Overall rating code tweaked to balance pitcher/batter (for present and future teams)
  • 'Simulate Multiple Seasons'
  • 100+ year sim fixed (no longer repeats 2103 over and over)
  • 'Runs Scored / Game', 'Runs Allowed / Game', 'CS' and 'SB%' added to Standings Columns
  • SB/CS balance tweaked (were too many CS); Birthday editor added to 'Edit Player'

Download the Patch

To install the patch, download one of these files and follow the instructions below.

Note: Each version replaces all previous versions. It is not necessary to download and install any earlier patches before you install the current one. If you need a more recent patch, you can see if one is available in our unofficial patches.

Installing the Patch (Copying BB2K4.exe to your Baseball Mogul 2004 Folder)

1. Download bb2k5-v707.zip to your Windows Desktop.

2. Extract bb2k5.zip to your desktop

3. Open the Baseball Mogul 2005 folder as follows:

  • On your Windows Desktop, double-click "My Computer"
  • Double-click "C:"
  • Double-click the "Program Files" folder
  • Double-click the "Sports Mogul" folder
  • Double-click the "Baseball 2005" folder
  • Note: If you installed Baseball Mogul 2005 to a different folder, open that folder instead

3. Right-click-and-hold bb2k5.exe on your desktop and drag it to the open Baseball 2005 folder.

4. Release the mouse button. Select "Move here" from the pop-up menu.

5. When Windows asks "Would you like to replace the existing file?", click 'Yes'.

6. Play Baseball Mogul normally (e.g. by selecting the icon from the Programs folder on your Start Menu).

Please Note: It is not necessary to download and install the previous Baseball Mogul 2005 patches. This patch replaces all previous patches, and contains all the information you need to update your game.
