BASEBALL MOGUL ONLINE UPDATED
We have recently added a "Strategies" Page to Baseball
Mogul Online. This feature is similar to the Strategies feature
in the CD-ROM which gives control over how your players are used
during games. This page is reached by clicking 'Strategies' under
the TEAM heading on the BMO menu bar. More info
is available in the online help files: http://www-2.sportsmogul.com/bb/Help/Strategies.htm.
We have also made some smaller changes to Baseball Mogul Online,
including:
- Free agent signing prevented after September 1st
- Playoff Wins are no longer erased at end of first year (this
bug was corrupting Mogul Point scores)
- Scouting reports show reward totals (e.g. "3 All Star Games")
- Computer Teams in DEBT no longer make Free Agent Bids
BASEBALL MOGUL ONLINE MOVING TO NEW FACILITY
As many BMO players are aware, we had some problems over the
last few months with the reliability of the Internet bandwidth
to our office. Because of this, we are moving the Baseball Mogul
Online servers to a co-location facility with a more reliable
Internet connection. We expect to make the change between 10:00
p.m EST on Monday, December 16th and 4:00 a.m EST on Tuesday,
December 17th. Baseball Mogul Online will be unavailable during
this time -- but we expect the simulations to continue to run
on schedule.
HIP INTERACTIVE WILL PUBLISH BASEBALL MOGUL 2004
Hip Interactive (the parent company of Softek International and
distributor of Baseball Mogul 2003) will be the publisher and
distributor of Baseball Mogul 2004. We will also be selling the
game on our web site, and we expect the MSRP to be $19.95. We
are still working on a feature list and will announce this when
it is complete. We plan to release the game BEFORE the start of
the baseball season.
NEW UNOFFICIAL BASEBALL MOGUL 2003 PATCH
I just posted a new unofficial patch (5.4.0.0 at http://www.sportsmogul.com/vbulletin/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=26723)
that we believe fixes the following problems present in 5.3.2.0:
- AI: Current contracts correctly valued when negotiating new
contracts
- EQUALIZE CITIES and SIMULATION MODE check boxes added to League
Editor
- Inside-the-park homers added
- Disappearing baserunners fixed
- 'Clear List' button added to Hall Of Fame Dialog
- Defensive skills improved for outfielders moved to first base
- Date added to header of Play By Play text (to match Box Score)
- Year By Year stats not corrupted by All Star game
- All-Star Game (and all star break) added to schedule created
for non-standard league configurations
As always, this patch includes all the bug fixes that were originally
fixed in earlier official and unofficial patches (described here:
http://www.sportsmogul.com/vbulletin/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=18221).
FOOTBALL MOGUL 2003 PATCH UNDER DEVELOPMENT
I was hoping to announce that we had released a patch for Football
Mogul 2003, but the bugs are proving to be harder to fix than
I expected. Nevertheless, I am continuing to work on Football
Mogul and will have a patch posted as soon as we have fixed the
major issues that have been brought to our attention.
Thanks for your continued interested in Sports Mogul. Enjoy the
holidays!
Sincerely,
Clay Dreslough and the Sports Mogul Team
