Netscape Communicator
Click on Edit in the top toolbar, click on Preferences in the drop down box, click on Advanced in the category window and then select Accept all cookies.
Q. I STILL can't login. What should I do?
On some machines, Internet Explorer accidentally records a "bad cookie" that can over-ride your attempt to login.
One solution is to delete all cookies, however that can be inconvenient since you lose cookies for your other sites.
So first try deleting just the Sports Mogul cookies:
1.
Assuming Windows XP or Windows 2000, go to the cookie folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Cookies\
(If you are the only user, I think your user folder is named 'Administrator')
2. Delete the Sports Mogul cookie, a file with a name like this: clay@www.sportsmogul[1].txt
If this doesn't work, you should try deleting all cookies:
In Internet Explorer, open 'Internet Options...' from the Tools Menu.
On the 'General Tab', click the button labelled 'Delete Cookies...' (in the Temporary Internet Files section)

my credit card information?
A. Yes, sign up for an account and join a Free League.

and account. You do NOT need to enter any billing information.
After you have your account, you can view a league from your "My

Q. How much are the subscription fees for BBMO?
A. On November 1st, we will resume
billing for Baseball Mogul Online as a subscription based online
game, with fees starting at $4.95 per month.
Subscription fees are as follows:
|
Category |
Monthly Fee |
Benefits |
|
Bronze Subscription |
$4.95 |
1 team |
|
Silver Subscription |
$9.95 |
3 teams |
Gold Subscription |
$14.95 |
10 teams, and the option to create and be the commissioner of 1 league |
|
Platinum Subscription |
$19.95 |
20 teams, and the option to create and be the commissioner
of 3 leagues |
Q. Why do you charge a monthly subscription fee,
not a league-based subscription fee?
A. Some games charge a separate fee
for each league that a user joins. We base our fees on a monthly
basis because many of our players like to play in a combination
of fast leagues and slow leagues. Monthly pricing allows users
the flexibility to join a league that simulates a complete season
every week, or a slow league that takes a month to finish a season,
without having to pay more money for the fast league. This format
also allows users to quit one league and join another without
having to pay any additional league fees.
Q. What does it mean to be the commissioner of an
online league?
A. When you create a new online league,
you get to be the league commissioner. When you are the commissioner
you can choose the league name, make it public or private, decide
how often the simulation will run, and set other aspects of the
league. As commissioner you also have the ability to edit team
rosters, change team finances, and have other similar special
controls over the game universe.
Q. Can everyone create an online league?
A. No, only users who subscribe at
the Gold or Platinum level can create an online league.
Q. How many online leagues can I create?
A. If you are a Platinum subscriber, you
can create up to three new online leagues. If you are a Gold
subscriber, you can create one new online league. Silver and Bronze subscribers
cannot create new leagues.
Q. What options do I have for paying my subscription
fees?
A. Subscribers can pay by:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
We're sorry -- we can not accept payment by check or money order.
Q. When am I billed for my subscription?
A. Accounts
are billed on a monthly basis until the user cancels his account.
Q. If I subscribe today, can I start playing immediately?
A. Yes.
Q. Can I upgrade to a higher subscription level?
A. Yes. Users may elect to upgrade
their account to a higher level (Bronze to Silver, Bronze to Gold,
or Silver to Gold) at any time. Their account will be billed a
pro-rated amount to cover the price increase for the remainder
of the current month. Beginning with the next billing cycle, the
account will be billed for the full amount of the new subscription.
Example: Bob subscribes to the Bronze package for $4.95 per month.
After 15 days, Bob decides he wants to upgrade to the Silver package
at $9.95 per month. The monthly fee for the Silver package is
$5.00 more than for the Bronze package. Since there are only 15
days left in the month, Bob will be billed for 15 days of upgraded
service. This is 15/30 of the $5.00 fee increase, so Bob will
be billed for $2.50 more. At the end of the month, Bob will be
billed $9.95 for the next month of Silver service.
Q. Can I downgrade to a lower subscription level?
A. Yes. Users may elect to downgrade
their account to a lower level (Gold to Silver, Gold to Bronze,
or Silver to Bronze). Such changes will take effect immediately.
Unfortunately, we are unable to give you credit for the difference
in the monthly cost of your account when you downgrade to a lower
level.
Q. Why don't I get money back when I downgrade?
A. Unfortunately we must charge users
the full amount of the higher-priced account to prevent abuse
of the billing system. We currently allow users to upgrade their
accounts at any time. If we also allowed them to downgrade their
accounts at any time, some users might take advantage of the system
by only upgrading their account long enough to manage a team for
one evening, then returning to the lower subscription. If we allowed
this, they could effectively have a Gold Account while only paying
for a Bronze Account.
Q. How do I cancel my Baseball Mogul Online account?

players go, we understand that sometimes people don't have the
time or inclination to keep playing Baseball Mogul Online. Please
