Q: Does the Baseball Mogul download have an electronic license that I have to activate?
A: We don't use any sort of e-Licensing or download limits. Therefore:
1) You can download the game to your PC and your laptop from the same link.
2) If you lose your connection while downloading, you can just click the same link and start over.
3) If you buy a new computer, you can download the game again.
We do make the download links inactive after a period of time. We also check how many times each link is used, to insure that you don't share the link.
Q: Do I have permission to install Baseball Mogul on two computers?
A: You have our permission to install the game on all of your computers. This means your home PC, your work PC and the laptop you use when you travel. We think you are smart enough to know when you are stealing software. If you paid for the game, you can play it wherever you want.
For example, if you have a laptop without an internet connection (or with a slow internet connection), you have permission to download the game using a high-speed connection, burn the file to a CD-R, and then copy the game to your other computer.
When you buy the game, we send you a unique link just for you to download the game. However, you can use this link to download the game to two or three computers. There are no passwords or activation codes. And the link doesn't expire.
If your link is used too many times, we will assume you have shared it publicly and shut it down. However, as long as you only use the link to install the game on your own systems, this will not be a problem.
Q: How do I download my game again?
A: If you ever need to re-install the game and you've lost the download link:
1) If you have your order number you can go to the Order Lookup Page.
2) If you forgot your order number, send an email to Sports Mogul Support and we can help.
Q: How do I fix errors with my download?
A: If you are getting errors trying to install Baseball Mogul 2007, it is possible your download may have become corrupted. This means that most of the data made it to your computer, but not all of it. One error message caused by a corrupted installer is this: "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data.Cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used." Another error is "This is not a valid Windows executable" If you get either of these, then you have a bad install file.
If this is the case, you have two options:
#1: Re-download the entire program again using your original download link.
The BaseballMogul2K7-v904-Setup.exe file should be exactly 102,981,730 bytes. Check the file size to make sure you've received the entire file. If it's smaller than this, you didn't get the whole file. You will need to download the file again. If you used a 'download accelerator' try turning it off first.
If your file is the correct size but still does not work you can try to download the file again, or you can try the PAR utility described in Option #2.
#2: Repair the download file using the PAR utility. (Want to learn more about PAR? Click here!)
QuickPar2 is a program that can detect and correct errors in downloaded files. You can download this free utility from the QuickPar2 Download Page.

To check that your BB2K7 install file is free of errors, download the BB2K7 Installer PAR Checksum File to the same directory as your BB2K7 installer file, and double click on the PAR file. (It'll look like the file highlighted in the graphic to the left.) If QuickPar reports errors, it will say how many blocks of correction data are needed. You can download as many as you need from here. (Example: If you need 6 blocks, you can download '1 block' and '5 blocks' or just download '9 blocks' if you have fast bandwidth) 1 block of error recovery data (120k) Once you have downloaded enough recovery data, you can select "Repair" to fix your download. |
Note For MD5 Users: This is totally unrelated to PAR, but if you wish to use the MD5 system for verifying that you have downloaded the complete file, the MD5 checksum is be552d6915af5945cebd00c6cac3f3dd.
